Reconstruction of Old GSP Stadium Area

Complete renovation and 10-year maintenance of the site of the largest football stadium in Cyprus. The project transforms the 1.32-hectare site between Grigori Afxentiou, Evagorou and Vasileos Pavlou Streets into a modern city square with green spaces, recreation areas and a two-level underground car park for 570 vehicles (Level A: 222 spaces incl. 21 for people with disabilities; Level B: 379 spaces incl. 30 for people with disabilities). 7% of the total area (880 m²) is kept free of underground structures to allow tall tree planting. The new park includes a café, restaurant, bookstore, art gallery, amphitheatre, small waterfall and water wall. Funded through the EU Cohesion Fund, the state budget and the Nicosia Municipality under the Regional Development Programme 2014–2020.
