Pancypriot Blood Center

The Pancypriot Blood Center “Study, Build and 12-year Maintenance” will be built in the Municipality of Geri. The location has easy access from all the free Provinces of Cyprus. The project is co-financed by the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism of the European Union, within the framework of the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan. The building will have an almost zero consumption category – in accordance with the provisions of the Energy Performance Regulation of Buildings Law – and in addition, the maximum primary energy consumption of the building will not exceed 100 kWh per m² per year.

The Pancyprian Blood Center will manage the blood from all blood donation stations throughout Cyprus, process, test, store and, finally, distribute the tested blood. About 80,000 blood products (such as red blood cells, platelets and fresh frozen plasma) will be able to be distributed from the Pancypriot Blood Center for clinical use throughout the country. At the same time, on the ground floor of the building, a new modern Blood Donation Station will be created, with an independent entrance, to which the residents of the area will be able to go for blood donation.
